This summer has been incredibly productive! While I look back and feel good about all the work I completed, I still think about all the paintings I didn't get done. Always thinking half a dozen or more paintings ahead!
In addition to all the painting, there is a lot of good news from over the summer. For starters, there are the paintings currently out in juried shows in Rocky Mount, NC and Yadkinville, NC. Next, I was notified that I was selected for an exhibition of my artwork at the Chapel Hill Town Hall in Chapel Hill, NC. This show will be in September of 2017. Finally, last week I dropped of four paintings to be put up for sale at the River to Sea Galllery in downtown Wilmington, NC.
This fall I am scheduled to teach one class and two weekend workshops at the Leland Cultural Arts Center. The Leland Cultural Arts Center in Leland, NC is a wonderful facility with a great variety of classes in the visual arts as well as the performing arts. If you live in the area, I encourage you to check it out!
Production tends to slow down a bit over the school year; however, with a show coming up in a year's time and other opportunities I have my eyes on, I'll need to keep a steady pace.
After missing the opening of the Eye of the Artist Juried Show at the Yadkin Arts Center in Yadkinville, I was finally able to drop in a couple of weeks ago to check out all the work on display. Lots of great work there and I felt honored to be a part of it.
