Spring is steadily breaking out and things are moving along well. I will have two landscapes, "Pilot Mountain" and "Raven Rock," on display at the 2016 Juried Art Show at the Maria V. Howard Arts Center in Rocky Mount, NC. The show opens in June and will run till September. Other submissions are in the works.
In the meantime I have completed a short series of still lifes that started with the pill bottles and ends with a wrist object. The general idea behind this series is to examine a collection of everyday accouterments that are part of my morning routine. I began a new landscape of a life guard station and am nudging myself into resuming mail-art work, especially after receiving a surprise envelope in the mail recently.
The school year will soon be over and I look forward to having plenty of time to get more work done.
